A bowl of warming, nourishing and delicious - Ayurvedic oats & quinoa porridge (Quinoa och Havregrynsgröt )
Ingredients
2.5 cups water
1/2 cup oats
1/2 cup quinoa
10 raisins
1 teaspoon chia seeds
5 soaked and peeled almonds
4 walnuts
1 teaspoon sunflower seeds
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
1 teaspoon ghee
Directions
1. Place the water in a medium sauce pan and bring it to a boil.
2. Reduce the heat to low and add in the quinoa and oats. Cover and cook for 12 to 15 minutes.
3. Check the quinoa at 12 minutes. If more time is needed, continue to cook until all the water has been absorbed, checking every minute.
4. Once ready, turn off the heat. Add in the almonds, walnuts, chia seeds, cinnamon powder, cardamom, and ghee.
5. Sit, eat, enjoy, and start your day off right.
